Where are the Department of Intercollegiate Athletic offices?

Administrative offices are located at the WVU Coliseum on the Evansdale Campus. Sport offices are located in the WVU Coliseum, Milan Puskar Center (football), WVU Natatorium (soccer, swimming and rifle), Basketball Practice Facility (men's and women's basketball) and the WVU Wrestling Pavilion.

Compliance

What is the Compliance Office?

The West Virginia University Compliance Office is responsible for making sure that WVU athletic staff, student-athletes and other groups and individuals representing WVU athletic interests abide by all rules and regulations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Big 12 Conference.

How do I make an appearance request for a charity event?

The WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is asked to support thousands of worthwhile charitable causes and events each year. We make every effort to accommodate as many requests as possible. Charity requests can be made by clicking this link.

How do I make a promotional item request for charity?

Facilities and Parking

How can I see where I am sitting?

Seating charts for Milan Puskar Stadium and the WVU Coliseum are located online in the Ticket pull-down menu located above.

What can I bring into the stadium?

Fans are encouraged to travel light. No coolers (including soft-sided), metal or glass containers, bags exceeding 12”x12”x12”, all backpacks, schoolbags, gym bags, laser pointers, alcoholic beverages are allowed in Milan Puskar Stadium. A “size wise” box is available at each gate and guest services location to determine if a bag is permitted. Soft drinks, water and non-alcoholic beverages in sealed plastic containers are permitted.

How does West Virginia University accommodate fans with disabilities?

The WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics offers ADA seating on game day. Wheelchair seating at Milan Puskar Stadium is located behind sections 100 and 131 and on the north end zone concourse. Tickets should be purchased in advance for all areas and are reserved to persons confined to a wheelchair and his or her guest.

Where is disabled parking spaces located?

Disabled parking is available for free at the WVU Coliseum and handicap-accessible buses are available to the East and West gates for $4, round trip.

Single game parking in the Brown Lot requires a valid state-issued handicap parking placard or license plate, valid state-issued handicap parking registration card, and photo ID of the handicapped permit holder [the photo ID must match the handicap parking registration card and the handicapped person must be in the vehicle].

How do I get access to disabled parking?

Disabled parking will require the following admission to the appropriate lot: WVU issued color-coded parking permit, valid state-issued handicap parking placard or license plate, valid state-issued handicap parking registration card, photo ID of the handicapped permit holder (the photo ID must match the handicap parking registration card).

Only lots reserved for disabled parking will be available for handicap parking permit holders.

Sports Marketing

What is the Sports Marketing Department?

The West Virginia University Sports Marketing Department coordinates all promotions, ticket sales, advertising campaigns, event operations and game management functions related to Mountaineer athletics.

What promotions are planned for the game?

The Sports Marketing Department present numerous promotions throughout the season for all sports. A detailed list of promotions for each sport is provided in the Promotions tab provided above.

How can I obtain a poster, schedule card, etc.?

Team posters and schedule cards are located at the WVU Coliseum. Fans can also contact the Sports Communications Office by calling (304) 293-2821. Mail requests are granted on a limited basis.

Where do I find information on the Mountaineer and the WVU spirit program?

Marketing coordinates the Mountaineer spirit functions including the WVU cheerleaders, WVU Dance Team and the Mountaineer. Information on the WVU Spirit Program and the Mountaineer is provided in the Traditions tab provided above.

Who do I contact if I'm interested in singing the National Anthem?

When can I meet the football players?

The annual Mountaineer Fan Day takes place each August at the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility on the south side of Milan Puskar Stadium. To see exact date and time of this year's event, click Mountaineer Fan Day under the Promotions tab. Mountaineer Fan Day is free and open to the public. Only one autographed item per person will be permitted and no posed pictures are allowed.

Sports Communications

What is the Sports Communications Department?

The Sports Communications Department facilitates media coverage of the Mountaineers. Sports Communications is responsible for publicizing teams and student-athletes through press releases, game notes, media guides, press conferences and interaction with individual members of the media.

What if I notice a mistake in a release or statistics?

Every attempt is made to present the most accurate information but, on occasion, mistakes do occur. If you notice one, send an email to wvusports@wvusports.com or call the Sports Communications Office at (304) 293-2821.

What time is the game and what are the broadcast options?

The Mountaineers are an extremely popular commodity for Internet, radio and television broadcasts. Some games are scheduled to be broadcast at the beginning of the season while decisions to broadcast other games may not be made until a few days prior to the event. The game time will be announced immediately on WVUsports.com as soon as it is determined.

When will next year's schedule be released?

Many fans plan life events around WVU schedules. For that reason, schedules are only announced on WVUsports.com when approved by the administration. Please continue to monitor WVUsports.com.com.

Where can I view information on WVU camps and clinics?

Each sport's coaching staff runs their own camps and clinics. The coaching staffs are responsible for providing the latest information including dates, forms and brochures to WVUsports.com. A complete listing of camps is offered by clicking the Camp Advertisement on the main page.

How can I purchase a media guide?

What is a club sport?

Club sports are administered by the University and are not affiliated with the Athletics Department. Please visit the official West Virginia University web site http://www.wvu.edu for more information.

How do I get help finding historical information, photos, etc.?

Mountaineer Athletic Club

What is the Mountaineer Athletic Club?

The Mountaineer Athletic Club is the primary fund-raising arm of WVU Athletics. The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is entirely self-supporting and receives no state funds. This reality creates a significant need for private contributions. The Mountaineer Athletic Club provides a way for individuals to help talented young people receive a quality education from West Virginia University while ensuring WVU's tradition of athletics excellence continues to grow.
