Collegiate: Graduated summa cum laude from East Tennessee State University in 1978…degree in psychology…received master’s in sport management from WVU in 1992.

Professional: Led the WVU rifle team to eight NCAA titles…also led WVU to one second-place finish and two third-place finishes…compiled 14 winning seasons with the Mountaineers, including nine undefeated seasons…finished career with 153-23 record…guided 28 student-athletes to 121 All-America honors...coached eight individual NCAA champions…coached Ann-Marie Pfiffner to a qualification for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics while still a student at WVU…in total, coached three Olympians….coached WVU to four GARC tournament titles and five regular-season titles…coached four individual GARC champions…her student-athletes collected nine individual GARC honors…also coached student-athletes to the following awards: two College Sports Magazine Division I Rifle Athlete of the Year honors, two CRCA NCAA Shooter of the Championship honors, one Academic All-America of the Year honor…coached the Mountaineers for the first two immediate years after the team was dropped for the 2003-04 season.

Sports Awards/Honors: 1997 National Coach of the Year for shooting (as selected by the United States Olympic Committee)…1993 National Rifle Association Coach of the Year…1996 West Virginia Coach of the Year (as selected by the West Virginia Sports Writers)…1998 West Virginia College Coach of the Year (as selected by the West Virginia Girls and Women in Sports Association)…2003 Distinguished Service to Collegiate Shooting Sports honoree…2005 Celebrate Women Award honoree (as selected by the West Virginia Women’s Commission)…as a member of the National Shooting Team, set 65 national records, won seven national championships and was an international Gold medalist.

Personal: Married to Carl Flowers…one daughter, Samantha, and twin sons, Aaron and Daniel…six-year CRCA secretary/treasurer…served as an assistant competition manager for shooting during the 1996 Olympic Games…member of the Board of the Civilian Marksmanship Program…Director of shooter development for U.S. Shooting Team (1992-94)…holds International Shooting Sports Federation shooting sports coaches’ license and Class B Judges Licenses…certified coach and official for USA Shooting.
