Collegiate: became the school’s first female national track and field champion in 1995 after jumping 22’1” as a sophomore at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. ? that jump was the 10th longest in NCAA history at the time ? holds six school records in the 100m hurdles (outdoor), 55m hurdles (indoor), the pentathlon (indoor), the heptathlon (outdoor), and the long jump (indoor and outdoor) ? garnered seven All-American honors throughout her career at WVU, three as a senior ? placed third in the long jump and fifth in the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Championships as a senior ? transferred from Alabama A&M where she was also an All-American in the hurdles and heptathlon as a freshman.


Sports Awards/Honors: Long Jump National Champion (1995) ? three-time All-American (1995) ? All-American (1996) ? three-time All-American (1997) ? won the bronze medal at the World University Games (1995) ? first WVU female Olympian.


Professional: was a member of the 2000 Nigerian Olympic track team in Sydney, Australia ? won the heptathlon at the All-African games in 1998 ? got second in the heptathlon at the All-African games in 1999 ? qualified for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, but was injured and couldn’t compete ?


Personal: coached at WVU from 2002-2005 ? had eight BIG EAST qualifiers and two all-Americans under her tutelage ? received her master’s degree in coaching education in 2003 ? currently lives in Philadelphia, Pa., with her husband, Anthony.
