1955 honors: Helped lead the Mountaineers to an 8-2 record and No. 17 UPI ranking and No. 19 AP … finished with 420 yards on 73 carries, averaging 5.8 yards per carry … had six catches for 59 yards … ran back three kicks for 23 yards … scored three touchdowns … part of a WVU rushing attack that ranked No. 6 nationally in rushing yards per game, averaging 263.9 yards per game and was No. 2 in total offense, averaging 384.5 yards per game … led Southern Conference in scoring, averaging 28.5 points per game, total offense and rushing.
